Short Bio

Mani Mehrvarz is a media artist and independent filmmaker, and PhD Candidate at University at Buffalo in the Department of Media Study. His principal topics of interest are Nostalgia, Media Archeology, Digital Memory, Post-History and Moving-Image. Mani received his Master of Arts in Intermedia, from University of Arts in Poznan, Poland, where he focused his thesis on the intersection of moving-image and nostalgia. His video arts have been screened and exhibited worldwide since 2004, including in 17th Japan Media Art Festival, PERL media festival in Ireland, Short Waves Festival in Poland, Cologne International Videoart Festival, FIVA Video Art Festival and 12th Bienal de Artes Mediales in Chile, Kochi Muziris Biennial in INDIA.
